Well HELLO THERE new friends!

My name is Katie and I’m the owner of Carolina Flow Photography. I created this company back in 2020 when the world closed but my eyes stayed open.

It has truly been a labor of love bringing this photo biz up to the space it is now. From going door to door and putting fliers in mailboxes to now owning a studio that we get to share the love of creativity in, it’s humbling to constantly look back and remember the hustle and work it took.

The month of July is typically a reset for me. We go on a big family vacation and we work minimally, as we gear up for what will be my sixth fall season. So if you don’t see me too much on here, know that I am resetting the creative magic, planning out all the gorgeous fall mini spots, and getting ready to set you behind my lens very soon.

each year we go to the beach
it’s not unique, this sandy toed adventure
but each year we go
I can remember the sounds of the giggles on waves
at each stage we were in
the ‘mommy hold my hand’
to the ‘mom watch me surf’
the haul of sand toys that disappeared
like the sun over the horizon to
the haul of music speakers and
boogie boards
each summer I am reminded of
what is different and what is
exactly the same:

crashing of waves and smells of salt air
pink cheeks and coconut sunscreen
sticky hands from melting ice cream
lazy naps and family card games

but the memory that I never want to forget
the one I capture the most
the one that I hold to my heart and never let go
