Need to watch this storm complex closely over the next couple of hours. It has a real chance at causing some trouble for tailgating.

Main threats:
- Strong Winds
- Lightning
- Torrential Downpours

Note: Still a chance it fizzles before arrival, but I wouldn't count on it!

Ensembles are lighting up with potential Atlantic development over the next two weeks. We have been in a real "boy who cried wolf" situation with model guidance so far in the MDR.

Time will tell if this one is real or not...

The biggest story with the upcoming front is the drop in the muggy meter we will see.

Unfortunately, it is still August, so afternoon highs will still be hot, but it will be a MUCH MORE comfortable heat compared to the brutal heat wave we have been in.

This drier air will also help morning lows to cool off much more with morning lows in the 60s as far south as the Carolinas!

This map shows that big drop in humidity by next Monday. (These are dew points not temperatures!)

Our area to watch in the Atlantic is looking pretty healthy today with a very visible spin on satellite. I'd be surprised if this doesn't become Christobal later this week.

The future of this system remains to be seen from a track and intensity standpoint. While U.S impacts are unlikely, it is well too soon to completely rule out!

Easily the strongest signal for a hurricane so far this year in the Atlantic. With that said ensemble members still average out only in the 30-40% range of this happening. No direct impacts are expected to the United States in the next 2 weeks at this time, but I will be watching it!

When you are in these super El Niño years any signal is going to get talked about!
