I am feverishly getting the hundreds of select wedding photos edited, both so we can all enjoy them, and also because I leave town on Friday! How much fun it is to already be reliving this day through the images. The photos of Danielle and the dress, etc., were all done by Cindy, and Emma who captured fantastic compositions.

5 Reasons to attend the Macro Photography Class this Thursday online at 7pm:

5. This class is actually more about depth of field, which is one of the most foundational parts of photography. What we learn about depth of field can be applied to almost any other type of photography. In fact, we will have examples of weddings, event, concert, wildlife, landscape and sports examples to share.

2. Photographers love learning how to capture close-up photos.

3. The cost to get into macro photography is really low (you do not need a specific lens for it)

4. It is a required Level 2 Certification for those who want to continue to work on their Certification Levels.

5. This class is actually more about depth of field, which is one of the most foundational parts of photography. What we learn about depth of field can be applied to almost any other type of photography. In fact, we will have examples of wedding, event, concert, wildlife, landscape and sports to share.

Taking a short break from wedding photos tonight, but sharing two black and white photos of a small building that was on the property of the venue. It had so much character, I had to shoot a few frames of it. The first image would end up being where we posed Owen and Danielle for some of the favorite photos of the two of them together.

Still in wedding mode and might be for some time, but I am finding it fun to go through the images and edit some favorites along the way. It was pretty cool to be able to get two different perspectives of both the guys and the gals as they walked out by working together with Bobby, and yet, staying out of each other's frames.

He did all of the posed group photos, which were awesome!

The Osborne Wedding 6-6-2026

Three Osbornes and one Bobby Dole (this sounds like the name of a band) captured thousands of photos today as Owen and Danielle started their married life together.

But more importantly, the bride and groom reminded us all about the true source of love, God. And they created a sacred space for everyone in attendance to consider the cross and the work of Jesus Christ. In the process, they also carefully helped everyone to know that they were seen, appreciated, and loved in a way no one will ever forget.

Here are three images I think might have best summarized the day. (Be sure not to miss the last one). And all of these, as well as many more photos that will be coming, were taken by Bobby who gave of his talents to our families and to the couple

Ok, for those of you who think I am not a dog lover (you would be right) that does not mean that I may not have a promising career in dog photography.

Cindy and I were shopping at the Foothill Thrift Store in Morganton, NC, and I saw the staff with this adorable puppy in the coffee mug and asked to get a shot. He was so cute and posed nicely for me.

Back in March, we took a group to Kalispell, MT, in order to photograph wildlife and incredible landscape scenes. We ended up with snow, which made a beautiful background for many of our photographic opportunities. Check out some of the favorites from our participants, as there are many stellar images in this selection that I hope hang on their walls!

We are planning to offer this Expedition again in March of 2028 and need 5 people to meet our minimum, so if you want to be on the list to know when it opens up for registration, be sure to email me at [email protected]
