On March 31st, 2012 the NAACP walked to the police station in downtown Sanford, FL. Led by the late Civil rights activist Jesse Jackson, the walk to the police station was in protest to events surrounding Trayvon Martin. At the time I was living in Sanford and documented the peaceful protests.
These works went on to be shown at the Southeast Center for Photographic Studies museum and some of the images were broadcasted on national media.
