It’s a tremendous honor working with Jackman Family again. The last time we did this, the baby was indeed a baby and the now college students, were youngsters.

I’m also taking notes on how Valentine agreed with everything his wife said! 😂

Backstory Time:
I met Valentine sometime ago and he became a part of the small circle I have. A lot of people say they want to be a Photographer and learn from me as a Mentee, but they typically disappear as short time passes by. Being a Full Time Photographer is not all glitter and fun.

I’m glad to see he’s steered the course and listened!!! Then applied that knowledge to his business!

It’s been great watching him grow (not literally-because he’s not getting any taller 🤣)as a Photographer, Dad, and Husband, making this an even better session-because I’m honestly proud of him.

I’m so blessed to have clients that speak on my behalf. Those are the clients who become like “friends and family” who will mention my name and my business when I’m not in the room.

Dad's response is priceless

We live in a very digital world with photos and videos living in our phones and "clouds" backing up our data. We literally have priceless memories on a phone that may or may not be backed up.

It's so digital that we often forget the impact of having a printed image in our hands. How it feels. Or how a flipping through a photo album brings smiles to our faces.

This client and his wife purchased a portfolio for their daughter's images from the cottillion I captured and this is the presentation.

Considering the milestone and impact of this moment, I couldn't just drop off there portfolio box. It comes with a "presentation". What else would you expect from me?

I'm grateful for the staff working me in between clients and for his time as he was so grateful for the personal delivery.

While this is their 3rd, (5 total, with 4 in college) and youngest daughter, he still had a moment that I didn't record. I gotta stick to the "bro code".

That moment is priceless and a memory I'd love to share with you so your family can enjoy those moments over and over again with a heartfelt smile.

Purge Themed Photo Session

Backstory:
This on location session is the basement of a refurbished mill. It was hard to get to, dusty, and had a few item that we used for the photos. Did I mention the low ceiling? 😂 The chainlink fencing, paired with the signage complemented the scene and vision as well.

The location was crucial to the photos and the addition props (mask, bat, etc) were well thought out by

Glass Nikon 24-70mm
Godox AD 300 Pro x2
Godox AD 300 Color Gels paired with grids
Godox AD600
Bags
Softbox
Camera Holster
Light Stands

Creative Lighting:
The blue and red colors were created by the gels and grids placed on the AD300 lights. You’ll see the photos with regular lighting from the softbox paired with the AD600. To complement the purge theme, I began by adding a blue light on the left and then eventually a red light on the right side until the look was complete. Please note, the main light from the softbox was removed as it would was out the gelled lights. Lastly, the grids were added to control the light spread for more creative control.

Pro Tip:
Build a team for a project like this. I was asked to be a part of this concept and I really enjoyed the results.
