I remember "Miss Congeniality" coming out about the time my OLDER sister Brandy Gibbs Hunter won Miss Dickson. I used lines from the movie on the regular to make jokes. I was the tomboy and she was the princess. When I was asked to do the pageant photography, the irony of the situation was pretty humorous. That was until I met with the famous Miss Amy. I'd known of her since we were kids. She had the only dance studio in Dickson and EVERYONE knew and loved her, but since that wasn't my jam, I never really crossed paths with her. Over the last 6 months, I've had a front seat view watching her do the work of 20 people with a smile on her face all while encouraging her community to come together and raise money/items for the needs of Dickson Co. She handles every hiccup with grace. She holds every child by the hand and leads them to become more - not different than what they were, but the best version of themselves. This year, she's taken that load even with the passing of her mother right smack in the middle of it all. She radiates sunshine and Jesus. Truly. I've been in awe of her this entire time and now I understand why everyone in Dickson Co has been in love with her all of the years. So I had to post this because I've learned that she has a tendency of recognizing everyone but herself. Miss Amy, we see you. We are so grateful for you. We love you. And thank you so much for changing my mind... "I really do want world peace."😘

This image says everything about what these pageants mean. Witnessing this sisterhood moment today melted my heart. I'm so incredibly proud of every single young lady that was a part of this division. Parents - you should be so, so proud of the superstars that you're raising!!! Happy tears!
