For Dolly
One idea. A whole lot of butterflies. Plenty of sparkle. And even more heart.
This is just one of the finished images from a creative tribute that has meant so much to me.
I never wanted this to be about trying to become Dolly or recreate her.
I wanted to take a little of what she made so many of us feel and translate it through my own creativity.
The happiness.
The music.
The color.
The kindness.
The individuality.
And the reminder to dream big and never be afraid to be yourself.
So every part of this world was chosen with intention.
Yellow, the color Dolly said made her happy.
White, the color she said made her feel light and airy.
Butterflies for that free-spirited feeling.
A guitar for the music that connected generations.
And rhinestones and sparkle because...well, this is Dolly we're celebrating. ✨
This is why I love creative photography.
You can start with a person, a feeling, a memory, or something that inspires you and build an entire world around it.
And for a little while, you get to step inside that world.
Not an imitation.
Not a recreation.
A creative thank-you.
For the music.
For the color.
For the dreams.
For being unapologetically yourself.
For Dolly.
