Newborn photos may seem like an inconvenience in the middle of late night feeds, fussy naps, and projectile milk pukes. However, every family who has these precious first few weeks of life documented, looks back on these photos with fondness. I have recently loved bringing my camera to new families homes and capturing the small moments of in a space everyone feels comfortable in. It’s still so heartwarming to see these photos of the Barrett’s and their growing family!

Found a forgotten roll from my friend Kailas maternity session, soft with sun-flecked memories. There’s something about film…its grain, its glow…that turns everyday moments into love letters. I always tuck a roll into my bag, just in case the magic wants to stay a little longer. I have recently started including film as an add on to sessions and it has made all the difference.
