The chicest thing you can do for your wedding? Make it unmistakably yours ✨

Celebrate your heritage. Honor your faith. Bring the fur babies. Give tradition a twist. Start new ones. Marry your best friend. Laugh hard. Feel everything.

Perfection is overrated. A celebration that feels completely like you? And captured by yours truly? Very chic ❤️

What a fitting way to close out my spring wedding season - surrounded by romantic florals, lush greenery, and the warmth of faith and family (...and the literal warmth of almost summer in Virginia 😂) . Congratulations again to our sweet couple, A&O!
The Atrium at Meadowlark is the perfect venue daytime events like this Nikkah ceremony. We enjoyed beautiful light all day long while staying cool in the AC, while also easily enjoying beautiful garden views a few steps away.
As I look back on this season, I'm in awe of how many different types of cultural traditions my team and I have been a part of. Our year has already included Catholic mass, Vietnamese tea ceremony, Jewish hora, Bengladeshi mehndi, Muslim Nikkahs, many modern American traditions, and more.
I'm grateful for the trust of all of my couples to capture such a broad range of traditions. I'm reminded of why I'm so passionate about inclusivity and cultural knowledge - because all couples deserve their celebrations with respect and authenticity as much as joy and beauty.

ICYMI - it's cherry blossom season again! 🌸 was perfect for enjoying the blooms along with a little more privacy and greenery for Juliana & Joe's engagement session.
The gardens are a great alternative to the popular Tidal Basin spots. The area still gets very crowded on the weekend though, and you can only come when the garden is already open. So definitely plan accordingly for the best portrait experience.
Can't wait to return in July with to celebrate with J&J!

With their dating anniversary being on Valentine's Day, our couple decided to double down and make it their wedding anniversary as well. Their classic Richmond wedding styled in pinks and reds was perfect for celebrating their love story and holiday weekend. Congratulations again to Brigid & Jack - I mean, Mrs and Mr Brigid Godfrey 😂❤️

🧧 新年快乐 / happy (lunar) new year! 🎇
Thinking about incorporating Chinese attire into your wedding? Two popular brands for Chinese wedding attire are and .
For the fashion-forward bride looking something more contemporary, I also recommend . I've collected a couple pieces myself in my side quest for clothing by Asian American designers (my skirt in 1, dress in 2).
The knot buttons on the skirt in the first photo are hidden by my jacket unfortunately, but I like the nod to classic qipaos via the button style found in many pieces by SL. The second one, also by SL, is such a fun modern take on the qipao.
So many of the pieces by SL would be perfect for a welcome party or dance floor look, and they also have bridal qipaos. It's great for brides, family, and guests alike who want a nod to their Chinese heritage without the look of a traditional qipao.
And for lifestyle only, the third photo is a dress by , who's known for her colorful, contemporary designs. Shoutout to for helping me spot this dress while we were traveling for one of her wedding weekends ❤️

What a way to end the year! The vision: a Chinese-American wedding based in timeless black tie style and NYE glam ✨
Led by our bride's creativity, Mallory and Mary Pearl brought the vision to life beautifully. You'll see dual-palettes of black+white alongside red+gold and nods to Chinese culture. We leaned into creating a very non-conventional timeline to work around the early sunset, chilly weather, multiple locations, evening tea ceremony, and midnight countdown. I couldn't have asked for a better team to work with for this incredible celebration. Congratulations again to A&C! ❤️
