Just getting a chance to look through my pics from Monday's Great Solar Eclipse. It was an amazing experience and so glad I got to share it with family and friends. We watched it from a beautiful area in Northern Maine just a few miles from the Canadian border...there was a lot of snow still on the ground but the viewing conditions couldn't have been any better. I've rotated this single image to add to the 'diamond ring' effect but this is straight out of my camera. You can also see some of the solar prominences in red extending from the sun's surface. More pics to come...😀🤓🌞

Crappy shot but you get the idea…look up in the Western sky right now and see the moon and Jupiter appear to be close together even though they’re not. Look now! If you zoom in, you can even see at least one (possibly two) of Jupiter’s moons. 👍
