This month, I'm celebrating ten years in business as Tracy Patterson Photography. I have so much gratitude for all who have supported me along the way, and welcomed me into your lives with my camera. I count it a privilege each and every time.

Happy Arbor Day! I'm savoring some of my favorites while the rain is greening things up here today. I've become such a fan of the trees, enjoying each of their stages. Here's a fun fact I picked up somewhere along the way: in the early spring, some of the trees and shrubs give you a hint of the color they'll be in the fall before they turn green for the summer. It's a little sneak preview.

Today's visit to Como was spectacular. The plants in and around the water are my favorites. We talked to six different employees and volunteers who clearly loved what they were doing, and couldn't wait to share a little bit (or a lot) of what they knew that was fascinating. This has been happening a lot lately. People know a lot of things, and are generally amazing. If you find yourself feeling cyinical about the world, go ask someone a question about what they are doing. It will make their day and yours, and give you cause for joy and hope.
