Wanna know a secret? Most kids show up to photoshoots anxious. Or cranky. Or plain mad! But one of the things I pride myself on most is my ability to get people out of their shells, and that very much includes my younger clients. Being able to play games WHILE getting good photos is how I keep families coming back to me for years, and how I have kids wanting to do photoshoots every weekend (I’ve had multiple say this now).

Getting to see love in all it’s forms is one of my favorite parts about my job. It’s cheesy, but I swear I spend my entire time editing photos just grinning. Seeing people happy makes me happy! But my face does end up hurting after editing lots of mini sessions for a few hours 😂 still booking clothesline minis for June 6 and 7, message me to secure your spot!

Do you know how many families I have asked to frolic in fields? Admittedly, not a ton, because someone is always uncomfortable. But THIS FAMILY I STG. I have never come away from a session with my face and my ribs hurting from laughing so much. They took every prompt and joke and rolled with the punches, and the photos speak for themselves! Portraits don’t have to look rigid and uncomfortable. If you’re with the people you love most in the world, it’s my job to capture you all enjoying spending time together! Even if that includes some ridiculousness and frolicking 😉

Is anyone out there actually pregnant with a girl right now? 👀 I feel like I have so many mamas expecting boys this year! It’s so strange that we seem to have waves of one or the other, but I can’t wait to meet all the little ones soon to make their appearances 🥰❤️

It takes a special kind of person to be a mom, and I have found few things stronger than a mothers love. Often, our mothers are the most influential person in our lives as we grow. They teach us so much about ourselves, the world, and our place in it. They teach us how to love ourself and others. And if we’re really lucky, we get to gain them as a friend one day as well. Thank you, to all of the wonderful women out there that have been a mother or a motherly figure to others. The world always needs more love ❤️

Getting to watch a family grow is always such an honor 🥹 as a nurse, I usually only see people when they are unhappy and/or need to be fixed. But as a photographer, I get to help my clients celebrate some of the best moments of their lives. The balance between the two makes me so aware of and appreciative of the immense amount of love there is in the world. It should never be taken for granted.
