SOU/TVRM 4501 has been in its green dress for several months now. Unfortunately, my work schedule has been unforgiving, until today, when I found out at the last minute that they were making a Sunday run to Summerville, GA. We caught it at LaFayette, GA, and then proceeded with other plans for the day.

I have finished uploading all of my stills from the "America 250" event at NCTM/Spencer to my Flickr page. As with many other railroad events and travels from the past several years, I still have quite a bit of video files that I still need to process and assemble into a presentable show once I invest in a new workstation (my current 14 year old PC isn't suited for this type of post-production).

I had a rare opportunity to take the boat out yesterday (something that is very difficult to accomplish with my work schedule). We took it up to the Little Tennessee River in Vonore, TN, with a primary focus on CSX's bridge that carries the K&A line between Knoxville and Atlanta. We only captured one train (M541), but had a brief history lesson on Fort Loudon while floating around the area. Becca spotted a good photo angle on the opposite side of the bridge (with the Blue Ridge/Smoky Mountains in the background) that we will pursue some late afternoon on a future visit.

I'm sure by now most of you have been inundated with photos and videos from the "America 250" event at Spencer. So I'm going to try to select some of my more creative ones to balance out the parade of roster shots.

This is my first attempt at posting something off of my relatively new Insta360 camera. I had Casey Thomason of Norfolk Southern walk out to the center of the turntable at the North Carolina Transportation Museum this past weekend to take a 360 Panorama shot of most of the America 250 locomotives parked at the roundhouse.
