🎉Preorder Launch 🎉

I’m so excited to finally officially share my new book with all of you! What started as an idea inspired by our infant son has evolved into a 2023 International Photography Award winning book. “Lines & Light” is a high-contrast board book designed to stimulate the eyes and minds of infants but with enough visual interest for adults too—and everyone in between. Enjoy it with your baby and as a mini photography book for your coffee table.

Research shows that infants gravitate toward high-contrast images and patterns because they can more easily focus on them as their eyesight develops. In addition, psychologists state that coffee table books are a visual way of expressing our personality and help stimulate conversation and inspire positive emotions. Printed in the USA and including 11 of my high-contrast black and white photographs spread across 14 pages, “Lines & Light” is a book that encourages bonding and engagement with everyone from newborns to the elderly.

All preorders will be shipped with a signed, limited edition 5×7 print of “Projection,” a 2023 IPA finalist winner!

Preorders are currently projected to arrive in time for the holidays!

Big news two days in a row. 🤯 It’s been quite the week! I am excited to share that ALL of my entries into one of the top three most prestigious photography award competitions in the WORLD, , have earned the title of Official Selection: “Opus 1,” “Projection,” and…something I’ve been keeping a secret and hinted at in yesterday’s post, my book “Lines & Light.” More to come on the book soon!

Here’s some exciting news! (Even BIGGER news coming in September so stay tuned. I can hardly stand waiting to share.😅🤐)

I'm honored to have my photo series "Opus 1" selected as an Honorable Mention in the Abstract category of the

This series of images is from a larger collection of work observing how light and shadow play with each other to form patterns, geometric shapes, and striking lines and curves. The collection is highly influenced by my background in graphic design as I translate these visual elements and depth of light into high contrast, graphical images.

This series was shot on expired medium format film and slightly underexposed, resulting in vivid grain and low contrast to create an extra layer of abstraction.

I love colors—especially bright vibrant colors. Sometimes so much so that it makes my husband a little nervous. My recent colorful patchwork overalls purchase at being one example, but he’s a good sport about it all. Ironically I’ve been leaning heavily into black and white photography lately as I’ve been working on some more conceptual pieces but today I decided my IG page needed a little color. I’m in Ohio this week and it’s cool and rainy so here’s a throwback photo to warmer days when Rob and I were exploring the Maldives. Sitting in contrast to the two neighboring resort islands, visiting Huraa gave us a glimpse into local Maldivian life. This shot was made after getting up early to watch the local fishermen bringing in their huge haul of yellowfin tuna.

Recently had this print on display at but realized I never did an official post about it.

To some extent I’ve come to terms with the necessity of creating an online presence for my work but I’ve remained inconsistent about posting on social media as you can see by the fact that I’ve had an IG account for over 6 years and have only made about 50 posts. I tend to get caught up in the process and the work itself. So here I am trying to be intentional again about posting some of my latest work. This one is titled “Morning Breaks” and features a longtime obsession of mine—light peaking its way in and breaking through the darkness.
