Spring has been full of nonprofit work and I’ve been way too quiet about it. I get to document some of the most incredible organizations in Chattanooga, and the Sneaker Gala is one I look forward to every year. This was year three for me. Girls Inc. has been empowering girls in our community since 1961 with programs focused on leadership, STEAM, literacy, and building the next generation of bold, confident young women. It’s an honor every time. More nonprofit incoming, I promise.

A nice little surprise landed in my inbox this morning. I’ve been nominated for the Chattanooga Times Free Press People’s Choice Best of the Best 2026, Best in Photography.

Voting kicks off May 25th and runs through June 29th, which means you have approximately 35 days of me shamelessly asking for your vote. I’m sorry. I’m not sorry. Okay, I’m a little sorry, eek!

This was a fun one, and while I really wanted to pair this with Henry Mancini’s Moon River (for obvious reasons) I’m locked out of converting my biz account to a creator one and have a paltry selection of music to choose from, oh well. Chopin will do.

This year I tried to be a little less online, which translated personally into a lovely reading habit and more face-to-face time, with the exception of Q4, sorry 😅

I’ve been pretty absent from my IG grid, which I’m hoping to remedy in the new year with a few automations. I truly love sharing my work, and I also love adapting processes that make my work-life easier. Two things can be true.

Looking back at this random amalgamation of images from the past year, I keep thinking about how incredibly lucky I am to work with so many amazing humans, through storytelling and otherwise. My therapist once asked what my child-self would think of me now, and honestly, she’d be pretty damn proud of this business I’ve built and the love I get to share with each of my clients.

You make my work what it is. THANK YOU for choosing me. I’m so deeply thankful.
