Hey Gen Z seniors, here are 3 things I need you to know ❤️
1. TikTok has made my job as your senior photographer easier. 😂 Y’all have been studying “the journal” for years. You understand your angles, movement, trends and what looks good on camera better than any generation I’ve photographed. Keep scrolling and learning, just remember to take a break every now and then. Real life is still better than the For You Page.
2. Knowing your angles doesn’t mean you won’t be nervous. Everyone gets nervous in front of my camera. The bride, the varsity football player, the entrepreneur getting new headshots. We all just show it differently. You don’t have to show up knowing exactly what to do. That part is my job. Yours is just to show up as you.
3. The empath in me wants to absorb all the anxiety you’re carrying about what’s next and what might be waiting around the corner. But the 2020 hindsight in me knows you don’t have to have it all figured out. You just have to take the next right step.
Olaf taught us. The Israelites showed us at the Red Sea. Sometimes you don’t get to see the whole path before you have to start walking.
So keep scrolling, embrace the awkward first five minutes in front of my camera, and take the next right step.
