Boone, 6 months, Black Mouth Curr, Basset Hound, Corgi mix.
"He’s 6 months old and is very sassy. He will roll his eyes and turn his head when we say he can’t have food from the table. Or, when we say it’s time to go to be- he will scuff and scamper off to his bed. He likes to play by himself with his toys (my husband and I joke that they are his imaginary friends), and he also enjoys catching fireflies. He can be very very lazy one minute and then do parkour the next minute. I’m working with him to smile with his teeth when we say smile 😀"

Recently East Brainerd Animal Hospital asked me to take photos of their employees pets to hang on the wall in their newly renovated lobby. I'm stoked to share some photos from that shoot here over the coming weeks! I edited these photos a few different ways; the classic Dogs of Chatt style, Black and White edition for the clinic lobby, and a new style I'm considering. Lily, Labradoodle, 2 years. Heritage Park, Chattanooga.
“We travel for a living now. We were just staying at the Seguin Island light station in Bath, Maine where we were the only ones living on the 64 acre island. We gave group tours of the lighthouse and told ghost stories, we took care of the station, maintained the grounds, mowed the lawn, etc. and she loved it. We’ve been in Chattanooga for a few weeks and we stop at as many dog parks as we can while on the road.”

Memphis, Xoloitzcuintle, 8 years
“She’s very instinctual. I think it has to do with her being a primitive breed. We had moved away for years and recently moved back; but she still knows, when we’re a mile away from the vet she starts freaking out. And I’ll come from many different directions! But every time, without fail, when we’re a mile away she knows.
She’s also very schedule driven. She asks for her 3 meals per day within 5 minutes of the time she had asked the day before. And with daylight savings it only takes her 1 day to figure out the time change.
And get this; I have a friend whose house is haunted, meaning they’ve seen apparitions or whatever there, and Memphis and I went to visit them. Well when we got there I opened the door and walked inside but she stopped at that door step and would not enter. She just refused to go in, wouldn’t do it. It was very interesting!”

“St. Bernards used to carry brandy in barrels because in Switzerland, if people were stuck in the snow they would be dehydrated. …but she would be like ‘nope!’ And he’s a rescue.”

Happy St. Patrick’s Day! ☘️ The photos have been a little sparse lately as I’ve been dealing with some stuff in my personal life, as I’m sure many of your are. Leo, Boxer mix, 5 years
“Bianca and Leo were adopted together as puppies and recently returned after the family moved. They were born January 13, 2015 and were originally laid on someone's doorstep during a snowstorm. They don't need to be adopted together but have been together since they were born. They are Boxer mixes and are used to living in a home with kids, cats, and other small and large dogs. They are also already housetrained. Leo is a gentle giant weighing in at 91 pounds! He could stand to lose ~ 15 pounds:)”
Leo and Bianca (yesterday’s pup) have both been adopted from !!

“Sadie is scared of the stairs. She runs and hides when people come to the door. She runs in circles when you ask her if she wants to go outside.”
Happy first day back in Standard time! Personally I prefer Daylight Savings because I get a little extra outside time with my dogs in the evening. Which do you prefer- and what are you and your dog doing together with your extra hour today?
