Roan Mountain is such a beautiful place. The rhododendron garden is one of the largest natural rhododendron gardens in the world, the spruce fir trees are very rare for the south, and balds have beautiful sunsets and views of both Tennessee and North Carolina. 💕

Once a year The Misson Chattanooga church holds an event called "Cenobium" which means community; we had 36 "creatives" spending a day in fellowship and creativity. The theme was water. It was such an incredible day. I spent a lot of my time at the nearby creek with my camera, nature, and God. This was my finished project. 💙 The "river" flows for everyone.

The gift of wildlife photography....
I have spent my life trying to control things that weren't mine to control. Maybe that's why wildlife photography is such a gift and a lesson for me.... you can't control it, you can only receive it. This morning I went out with my camera in search of something other than wildlife to photograph. I asked God what did He have for me today, what lessons, what gifts?
He gave me a green heron and a racoon.... I guess I'll keep hanging out with his critters 🧡

Visiting when I was a little girl in the back of my grandparents truck camper, cycling the loop with my older kids when I pregnant with my youngest, camping with Joel and Little Bit, or chasing wildlife with my camera (no I don't actually chase them)....
Its a beautiful place 🧡
