Business ownership is hard. Showing up online is hard. I have been feeling professionally super lonely since moving (only) 50 miles from the town I grew up in.

So I decided to do something about it.

In an absolute riotous turn of events - I was off and cooking dinner on a Saturday night when the neighbor texted - “hey, the football boys are going to do their homecoming photos at the field in about 10 minutes…” I made eye contact with my charging camera battery and ran to get a body and lens.

What I thought was going to be 10 minutes of forced photos turned into SO MUCH FUN. I suuuuuper love it when subjects have ideas. I also heard these guys actually *liked* the photos and posted them on their own accounts! ? ?

I waited 365 days to shoot this day at the Chelsea Community Fair. I might love a little bit of rodeo.

Lifestyle home sessions are VERY QUICKLY becoming my new little obsession. We pick a day and choose a time home is busy and record the memories of every day life. The chaos, the mess, the fun.

I still grab a couple of classic “everyone looking at the camera” shots but these memories are gorgeous.
