I am absolutely loving the time I am spending photographing these strong girls and women. Break out the wings, the swords, the skulls... I’ll take all of the bold and beautiful.

I went back and reworked this portrait from 2 years ago because my retouching has grown so much. Plus, I am celebrating this gorgeous warrior, and I am beyond excited that I am going to see her again soon for senior pictures.

Be legendary. It suits you so well.

The amazing Tress came in for a little bit of legendary. I am not sure that she even has to try, but I worked super hard during this session because I was between studio spaces. We set up in a little hallway and I had to put the main light in a different room and aim it out the door so it lit the camera right side of Tress. Ingenuity in small spaces. 😂❤️

Whatever your age and whatever number would show up if you stepped on a scale, it is not so important that you realize that beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

Today I read this quote: "A beautiful face will age and a perfect body will change, but a beautiful soul will always be a beautiful soul."

What if we replaced it with "A beautiful face will age and it will still be beautiful. A perfect body will change, and it will still be perfect. A beautiful soul will always be beautiful."

Why should age define beauty or perfection? We are beautiful at every age, and every body is perfect. There is always room for growth. There is always room for health. But we can always embrace the age we are and the body we have today.

Although makeup can make you feel beautiful, it is not what makes you beautiful. I don't think anything could prove this more than this beautiful portrait of Tress.

I love this portrait because the simplicity is both elegant and beautiful in the most incredible way. The make up is understated and it is not the focus of the portrait, and yet, the portrait is genuine, authentic, and absolutely beautiful, the same as the incredible woman in the portrait.
