When I recorded my most recent video about the Upper Fall River Church (it’s out now!) I was really happy I got the chance to see the inside! This church building was built in 1921 and originally had white plaster walls. By the ‘70s the plaster was beginning to deteriorate, and the church installed the wood paneling and drop ceiling.

In the right light, photography in the Flint Hills is super easy. It’s just a “point the camera that way” situation. This photo isn’t high art or anything, but the Flint Hills just always look good. 😁

Happy Friday! The light looked great last night on my way home, and this old industrial building and grain elevator in Sedgwick caught my eye. The deep shadows and bright highlights played nicely with the reflective metal walls.

It took a while before I could look through these photos, but a couple of weeks ago Kaity and I went to our first powwow. What a cool experience! We didn’t get to stay for the grand entrances unfortunately. Those were pretty late in the evening, but here are a few highlights.

I was just on a bike ride and I took this completely unique photo. I’m really surprised no one’s ever had an idea for a photo like this before. I really pride myself on my ability to come up with utterly original ideas like this one.
