There’s just something about a bride on 35mm.

The grain. The softness. The way the light falls a little differently. The tiny imperfections that somehow make it feel even more perfect.

No instant preview. No taking 47 versions of the same frame. Just watching, waiting, and pressing the shutter when it feels right.

The quiet before she walks down the aisle.
The dress moving as she crosses the room.
Her hands. Her veil. Her people.
The version of her that existed for one day only.

And then weeks later, the film comes back and suddenly you’re holding onto that feeling all over again.

I don’t think film is beautiful because it looks nostalgic.

An engagement session on film, somewhere between the marsh, the ocean, and a few wild horses.

This is exactly what I want engagement photos to feel like.

Not two hours of trying to figure out what to do with your hands. Not 47 versions of the same perfectly posed photo. Not trying to make every frame perfect.

Just go somewhere beautiful. Wander around. Hold hands. Laugh. Let the wind absolutely destroy your hair. Chase the last little bit of sunlight.

And let me document what it actually felt like to be there.

THIS is how you make a room feel like an experience.

The velvet. The candlelight. The layers and layers of greenery. The tiny lamps tucked into the tables. The orchids. The ceiling draping. Those chandeliers that look like they’re quite literally growing from above.

Everywhere you looked, there was another detail.

And THAT is what I love about a beautifully designed wedding. It isn’t about adding more just for the sake of more. It’s creating a feeling the second your guests walk into the room.

Moody. Romantic. Organic. A little unexpected. And completely immersive.

The timeline shifted.
Things didn’t go exactly as planned.

And yet… look at these two.

Not once did Chloe MacDonald & ZACH STONE let the weather steal what the day was actually about. They laughed. They kissed in the rain. They celebrated anyway. Because at the end of it all, the only thing that truly mattered was that they were marrying their person.

Twenty years from now, you won’t remember whether the forecast was perfect.

You’ll remember how your partner looked at you.
How tightly they held your hand.
