Don’t worry, I’m here to help you through all the frights.

- I bring (parent approved) snacks and a few fun activities to keep littles engaged and happy through the session.

-my house isn’t the cleanest either, we will work around it. Mess can be moved and there’s no reason to stress.

-I can’t control the weather either Jackie…(anyone else get the reference?) That’s why I love indoor sessions. Much less likely to get rained out. 😉

-Getting ready for a session that will be in your home is 10BILLION times easier than packing the fam into the mammy wagon.

I’ve been taking some time to soak in family lately.

It’s been a month filled with so many new beginnings and bittersweet goodbyes.

We laid my grandmother to rest, said goodbye to sweet friends in Illinois, and we’re getting settled into our new home in Virginia.

In these last few weeks I’ve tried to remind myself to soak in the moments and not worry too much about what’s ahead.

A couple of months ago we found out that my grandmother took a turn health wise.

It never occurred to me that the strong willed matriarch of our family could ever or would ever decline in health

I got on a plane to see her one more time. My mother took photos of us, I didn't want to...

I could have made excuses...
That's not how I want to remember grandma
My hair isn't done (not that it is ever really)
I dont have makeup on
These aren't professional photos
We have other photos that are better
Maybe there will be another time we can take better photos

Just yesterday I got word that she is in her final days... I'm so glad I took the photos.
