This photoshoot brought me to Hops on the Hill Brewery in South Glastonbury, CT. The owners (Al & Nancy Gondek) were nice enough to let me in for the photoshoot before opening for business. Al is very friendly and was nice enough to give me a full tour and tell me all about this place, which is actually a former to***co drying barn built by his father in the 1950's and relocated from one of their other farms in town. They even left some to***co hanging in the rafters to add to the authenticity of the place. The interior is spacious but with a warm and cozy feel that perfectly represents everything that comes to mind when you think of Colonial New England.
There are two dozen taps with an ever changing array of beers ranging from Pilsner and Lager to IPA's, stouts, various ales and a few seasonal flavors. Although there is no kitchen, they offer snacks and bring in food trucks to ensure you won't be drinking on an empty stomach. If you are in the area, you absolutely owe it to yourself to stop in and try one of their craft beers.

I did my best to capture the warm and inviting "feel" of this place in my pictures, and I hope Al & Nancy enjoy them.

Thanks to the Uconn Women's Club Soccer Team for allowing me to be their "unofficial" team photographer. Some great shots from last weekends double header against Fairfield University and Sacred Heart University. It was also nice to see a group of last year's seniors showing up to cheer on their former teammates.

As an engineer I love seeing Before & After photos of construction projects. However, I don't believe I have ever seen one photo that captures both at the same time and in one single image. The attached picture is of a school currently under construction. At this particular corridor intersection you can see where the new renovation construction meets up with the old construction.
Honestly, I love this shot. I have never captured anything like this before. I also love how the wide angle lens give the impression of a panorama, when it's really just one photo.

I had opportunity to take photos yesterday at the SCC championship game where Cheshire beat Amity in 5 sets to become this year's SCC CHAMPIONS!! The fans were so excited, involved, and LOUD!! It was awesome !! (Honestly, I had no idea how exciting it is to watch high school volleyball.)
