From golden leaves along a rushing river to a curious little face among the evergreens—Colorado reminded me that some of the best travel memories come from simply slowing down and looking around. 🍂🌲📷

For a few brief moments, the sky glowed with shades of peach, pink, and gold, reflecting beautifully across the water. Then, almost as quickly as it appeared, it changed. So glad I paused to capture it. 🌅

While photographing San Francisco, I caught this sweet moment of a woman and her dog enjoying the waves. A little everyday joy that became one of my favorite memories from the trip.

If anyone recognizes her, please tag her—I’d love for her to see these photos! 📸

Some moments you photograph. Others you feel before you ever press the shutter. 💙💛✈️

Watching the Blue Angels over San Francisco Bay was one of those moments—the roar of the engines, the precision of every turn, and the excitement of trying to capture it all with Alcatraz and the bay as the backdrop.

The cloudy skies made photography a challenge, but they gave these images a mood all their own. An unforgettable part of my San Francisco trip!

“Where the Golden Gate meets the wild blue sky, precision becomes poetry and thunder takes flight.”

Watching the Blue Angels sweep across San Francisco Bay was unforgettable—the roar, the tight formations, and those blue-and-gold wings beside the iconic bridge. Moments that make you grateful to have a camera in your hands. 💙💛✈️

“Some places tell their stories in color. Alcatraz whispers its history through shadows.”

I chose black and white for this series to reflect the era when Alcatraz operated as a federal prison. The weathered walls, iron bars, and empty corridors carry a quiet weight—a place where freedom was visible across the water, yet felt a world away.

Through my lens, the Rock becomes a study in light, silence, and the traces history leaves behind.

•Before the federal prison, Alcatraz was a military fortress and military prison; its first military prisoners arrived in 1859.

•Famous inmates included Al Capone and George “Machine Gun” Kelly. Many others were sent there because of escape attempts or disciplinary problems at other prisons.

•It closed on March 21, 1963, because of high operating and repair costs. Even fresh water had to arrive by boat.

•The writing on the water tower reflects another chapter: Native American activists known as Indians of All Tribes occupied the island from November 1969 to June 1971, drawing national attention to Indigenous rights.
