Photography is derived from Greek literally meaning "drawing with light". As a new year has begun this week's contest theme will be photos of a "New Year With Light ".
Light gives us hope. Light helps us see ourselves and the world. Light gives us meaning.
As photographers we draw with light, capturing images that will inspire or record a moment in time when light has touched our surroundings.
