Kayli & Michael’s wedding day was one for the books 🤍🇷🇸

From the moment the day began, it was overflowing with joy, laughter, family, and the most beautiful Serbian traditions woven into every part of their celebration. From the brothers coming to barter for the bride, to the pre-ceremony Skup, and ending the night dancing the Kolo surrounded by the people they love most… every moment felt so rich with meaning and celebration.

One of my favorite things about weddings is getting to witness traditions and stories that make each couple uniquely them, and Kayli & Michael’s day was absolutely unforgettable. The energy, the emotion, the music, the cheering, the dancing — SO much fun from beginning to end.

And can we talk about how stunning St. George Serbian Orthodox Church is?! The colors, the architecture, the crowns during the ceremony… truly breathtaking in every single way. ✨

Yesterday was truly one for the books 🤍✨

Kaylee & Mark said “I do” at the beautiful White Oak Farm surrounded by the sweetest people, dreamy summer weather, and the most stunning Barbie pink, white, and gray details!! From the soft florals to the joyful energy of their bridal party, every part of the day felt so full of love and celebration.

But honestly… what made this wedding so special was how easygoing and joy-filled the entire day was. No stress. No pressure. Just two people so excited to marry each other and everyone around them soaking in every moment right alongside them.

We truly enjoyed ourselves from beginning to end, and we feel so honored we got to capture such a beautiful chapter for these two!!

There’s something so special about engagement sessions that feel less like “taking photos” and more like getting a glimpse into a couple’s real relationship… and that was exactly what Maria and George’s session at Ogden Gardens felt like.

It was the most beautiful evening — soft light, blooming greenery, and two people who genuinely love being around each other. From the moment we started walking through the gardens, they were playful, sweet, and completely wrapped up in each other in the best way. The kind of couple that makes my job feel effortless because their joy naturally spills into every image.

One of my favorite parts of the session was seeing the way George looked at Maria. Every little forehead kiss, laugh, and quiet moment together felt so genuine and tender. And can we talk about her ring for a second?! Absolutely stunning. I was obsessed with every little detail!

Sessions like this are such a sweet reminder that engagement photos don’t have to feel stiff or overly posed. They can feel like an evening spent together — laughing, dancing, holding hands, and soaking in this exciting season before marriage. Maria and George made that so easy.

I already know their wedding day is going to be filled with so much love and joy, and I feel incredibly honored to be the one capturing it all.

There’s something extra special about getting to photograph siblings through the years

Gabby’s senior session was such a joy from start to finish! We started at the historic courthouse in downtown Crown Point and then headed over to the Lake County Fairgrounds for the rest of her session — and we truly had the best time together!
She is graduating from Crown Point High School and she was an absolute sweetheart the entire evening. So kind, so easygoing, and so fun to photograph!

What made this session even more meaningful for me was realizing that just a couple years ago, I photographed her big brother’s senior photos in these same locations 🥹 Getting to be invited back to capture another milestone for their family was such an honor.

Gabby, I’m so excited for all that’s ahead for you!! ✨

Yesterday marked my first wedding of the season… and I truly couldn’t have dreamed up a sweeter start. 🥹

From the quiet, emotional moments to one of the most packed dance floors I’ve seen in a long time… this day was full in every way.

But one moment I’ll never forget —
was watching Zach as Nicole turned the corner to walk down the aisle.

He didn’t hold it together… and honestly, none of us did.
It’s moments like that that remind me why I love what I do.
Not for the perfect timelines or the pretty details (though those were beautiful too)…

but for the real, unfiltered, deeply human moments that can’t be staged.

There are sessions that are beautiful… and then there are sessions that mean something deeper. This one is both.

Getting to photograph this season for Alexis & Justin was already special…

but getting to do it as her best friend? That’s something I’ll never be able to fully put into words.

I’ve watched this story unfold up close. The waiting, the dreaming, the prayers… all leading to this moment.

And now… they’re having a GIRL. 💕

I still can’t believe I get to say that. My best friend is becoming a mom, and I get to become an aunt to the sweetest little niece.
There is so much joy wrapped up in these images.

Victoria & Husam kicked off my first engagement session of the year… and WOW what a way to begin 🤍😍

The cooler weather, that soft golden sky, and the way these two just melted together made the entire evening feel effortless.

They trusted me with the posed moments—but what I loved most was watching them settle into just being themselves. The in-between laughter, the quiet smiles, the way they naturally found each other… those are always my favorite parts.

Sessions like this remind me why I love what I do. It’s not just about beautiful light (although we definitely had that 😉)… it’s about capturing connection in a way that feels real and lasting.

I’m already counting down the days until their wedding at The Allure on The Lake this October ✨

Lizzie didn’t hold back for a second… and honestly, that’s what made this entire session magic.

From the moment we started, she showed up fully herself—playful, bold, completely unfiltered. The kind of energy you can’t pose… you just get to witness it.

And Brady? He met her there every single time.
Every laugh, every pose and spontaneous idea, every “let’s try this!”—he was right there with her, smiling like he wouldn’t want to be anywhere else. You could just feel how much he loves the way she lights up the world.

This session wasn’t about perfect poses… it was about freedom.
The kind that comes when you’re completely loved for exactly who you are.

And somehow, the most perfect glowy sunset showed up to match it all.

I honestly didn’t think this session was going to happen.
It had been raining for two days straight, and everything in me thought we should just reschedule… but we decided to go for it anyway. And on my way there, I found myself praying—just asking for the rain to stop.

And I still can’t get over it… within minutes, the skies cleared, the sun came out, and it felt like everything shifted.

Like we were handed this quiet, golden little window just for us.
And getting to spend that evening with my family made it even more meaningful. Jeremy is my cousin, so this wasn’t just another session—it was time with people I love, frozen in a season I know I’ll never get back.

I don’t take moments like this lightly.
I’m just really, really thankful we showed up anyway. My sweet Korem family!

The Clark family holds such a special place in my heart! Not only are Monica and Troy the amazing owners of one of my favorite venues, Allure on the Lake… but they are also just the kind of people you are so thankful God places in your life.

Monica, you have been such a gift this season — especially with Landen being in Trojan Guard. Truly a lifesaver in more ways than you probably even realize 🥹

And getting to spend this time with your whole family?! The laughter, the joy, the way you all love each other so effortlessly… it was the sweetest thing to capture.
