Reflecting back on one month ago when I was privileged to capture the First Vows of poverty, chastity, and obedience professed by three Jesuit novices at Regis University.

This Mass is one where the communal aspect of the faith is so palpable and every year it stokes the fire in my heart for Christ and for my own vocation as I witness these men take a powerful step forward in faith, united to Jesus and to the Society. It invites us to ponder what we’re willing to sacrifice for love, but also the joy that’s possible if we put out into the deep and trust in God’s providence.

Please join me in praying for these men, for their vocations, and for courage for us all to say yes to God’s call on our hearts every day. ❤️‍🔥

Summer 2026 film drop 🎞️

I had to make a new category in my brain for the Pacific Northwest… the water, the rainforest, and the mountains all in one place? It was so crazy to me. Not to mention the wildlife, like bears and mountain goats ⛰️ Needless to say, these three national parks quickly found their way to the *peak* of my favorites list.

In the wake of St. Ignatius’ feast and anticipating the celebrations of next Saturday, it seemed the perfect time to share photos from last year’s Jesuit First Vows.

What a beautiful witness to the work of the Spirit in one’s heart through prayer and community over the course of two years which led these men to the point at which they vow perpetual poverty, chastity, and obedience in the Society of Jesus.

It is not unlike a wedding Mass, complete with vows and of course the support of the other members of the Society as well as family, friends, and other companions in mission, something I love to capture. The vow formula even places the man before the Virgin Mary and the entire Heavenly court, reminding us all of the communion of saints who are with us always in prayer and especially in the Mass.

Please join me in praying for the men who will take vows next weekend as well as the new Provincial (their former Novice Master!) who will receive them. May we all be inspired by their desire to serve, for the greater glory of God 🙏🏼

Hannah + Jack’s itinerary had one item I’ve never seen before…

Despite the rain forecasted for their whole day, these two had one of the most beautiful wedding days I’ve ever seen. From getting married at the Cathedral in Savannah to a romantic walk through the streets together after, they didn’t let the rain hold them back. Especially when it came to playing volleyball. 🏐

You read that right — these two left space in their wedding day schedule for midday games in the park, and many of their guests joined in! It just goes to show, your day can be both formal + fun, and it should really reflect who the two of you are as a couple. Whether they’re spiking it on the court, swinging around the dance floor, or cutting their cake with a sword, Hannah + Jack were fully themselves on their wedding day, and we wouldn’t have had it any other way.

In light of the heat wave, I thought I’d share Grace + Christian’s winter wedding to cool things down a bit ❄️

This one holds a special place in my heart 💍 Grace was my first friend in graduate school at BC, but it wasn’t her first degree — far from it. Christian is also very studied, but what’s even more impressive to me is their hearts.

These two boast one of the most unique and challenging stories of any couple I’ve captured, and it was so inspiring to see that through it all they held tight to each other and to their trust in God to direct their steps. I’m so looking forward to how that trust and love endure through all that’s ahead for these two and the family they formed on this day ♥️

The best word I can use to describe Kendra + Brian’s beautiful day earlier this year is pure peace. (And if you’ve been to a few weddings in your time, you know that isn’t always the default on a wedding day, so this was pretty special.)

Both the bride and groom were so at ease the entire day, soaking in the graces of the Sacrament and time with their loved ones, and simply being around them was enough to receive that peace yourself.

BUT that doesn’t mean they weren’t down to celebrate too — that dance floor was one of the best I’ve seen! 😉

Cheers to the newlyweds and to a life full to the brim with peace and joy 💍

A little belated Father’s Day moment for newly ordained Fr. Dan Finucane, SJ, whose ordination I was blessed to capture two weeks ago in St. Louis.

There are so many moments in an Ordination Mass that touch your heart, and Fr. Dan’s was no exception. From the flood of his brother priests that entered with him, prayed over him, and congratulated him, to the moving music sung by his fellow Jesuits in formation, his first consecration, and of course his prostration during the Litany of Saints, the Holy Spirit was so clearly present in this day and in Fr. Dan’s vocation and ministry.

As he said in his homily during his first Mass the following day, stepping into your vocation can feel like asking yourself, “Haven’t I always wanted this? Hasn’t my heart always ached for this?” It’s such a good reminder for all of us: As we step into our baptismal priesthoods and into God’s callings on our lives, let’s never forget to listen to our hearts and especially to His heart for us ❤️‍🔥
