Meet Banks ✨

Banks, a Silken Windhound absolutely blew his very first professional photoshoot out of the water—and stole my heart in the process.

His mom says he’s “a little crazy but pretty well trained,” which honestly made him the perfect mix of fun and focused. After making his rounds and soaking up all the attention, he was ready to show off!

Silken Windhounds are such a unique and special breed—did you know they’re known for combining the speed and elegance of sighthounds with an incredibly affectionate, companion-driven personality? Basically, they’re athletes and professional snugglers!

And Banks fits that description perfectly. While he’s always ready for adventure and down for anything, his favorite place in the world is curled up in his mom’s lap, watching a movie and just soaking in life.

Sweet, spirited, and already a natural in front of the camera—this boy is something special 💛

MODEL CALL MAGIC ✨🐾

I recently had the absolute pleasure of hosting a model call featuring Hemi & Tugboat — two stunning Great Danes who completely stole the show. From their gentle personalities to their larger-than-life presence, these two were the definition of elegance and charm.

They brought the perfect mix of regal and playful energy, and every frame captured just how special their bond is. Sessions like this are such a beautiful reminder of why I love what I do — documenting not just how our dogs look, but who they are.

I am beyond honored to share that I’m not only the cover photographer for Pet Portraits — the latest issue of Silver Shot Magazine— but also the featured artist AND the back cover page. 🖤✨

Seeing my work wrap this entire issue feels surreal.
What makes this even more special is the star of it all — Mylee. I’ve been photographing her for the past few years, and she never, ever disappoints. From the very first session, she carried herself like she knew exactly what she was doing. Effortlessly poised. Expressive. Completely in tune with the camera. Some dogs need a little warming up… Mylee steps in and owns it every single time.

Watching her grow, capturing her personality through the seasons, and building that trust over multiple sessions has been such a gift. She is the definition of picture perfect — not just because of how she looks, but because of the spirit she brings to every shoot.

To have a familiar, beloved face like hers represent not only the cover, but my feature story and the back cover as well, makes this milestone deeply personal.

Thank you to Silver Shot Magazine for the opportunity to share my story and my heart for pet photography. And thank you to Mylee (and her amazing family) for trusting me year after year to capture something so special.
