🌙✨ SAVE THESE DATES! THREE BEAUTIFUL SKY EVENTS ARE STILL AHEAD!

October is not over yet. Here are three wonderful reasons to keep looking up before the month ends.

🌕 OCTOBER 26 — HUNTER’S MOON
October’s Full Moon will still shine beautifully above autumn landscapes. Watch the moonrise for a warm golden glow near the horizon.

✨ OCTOBER 27–28 — MOON & PLEIADES
The bright waning gibbous Moon will pass close to the Pleiades, also known as the Seven Sisters. Look east in the evening and see if you can spot the cluster.

⭐ OCTOBER 30–31 — MOON & GEMINI’S TWIN STARS
Before sunrise, watch the waning Moon move through Gemini near Pollux and Castor. On October 31, the Moon will appear especially close to Pollux.

🌌 Three beautiful sky events, three more chances to enjoy October’s final nights.

Save this guide, check the weather, and look up!

🌕 Tonight’s star is the Hunter’s Moon.

On October 25–26, look toward the eastern horizon after sunset and watch October’s Full Moon rise warm and golden before climbing higher into the autumn night.

There’s something unforgettable about seeing a Full Moon slowly clear the horizon.

Have you photographed tonight’s Moon? Show us what it looks like where you are.

🌕 Don’t miss this moonrise.

October’s Hunter’s Moon reaches full phase overnight October 25–26. Watch around moonrise, when the Moon can glow deep gold near the eastern horizon before climbing higher into the autumn sky.

It may look enormous near the horizon, but that dramatic size is an illusion — the Moon itself has not suddenly grown.

🌕 THE HUNTER'S MOON IS ALMOST HERE!

On October 25–26, 2026, October's beautiful Full Moon will light up the autumn sky.

🌅 Watch the Moon rise above forests, fields, and quiet landscapes. Near the horizon, it may glow golden-orange as its light passes through Earth's atmosphere.

✨ The Full Moon reaches peak illumination late on October 25 in the United States, but both evenings offer beautiful viewing opportunities.

Will you step outside to watch the Hunter's Moon rise? 👀

🌙 In Just 2 Nights, the sky begins a beautiful series of four astronomical events, from October's golden Hunter's Moon to November's slow-moving shooting stars! ✨

Between October 25 and November 12, 2026, there will be four wonderful opportunities to step outside and look above the autumn treetops.

🌕 OCTOBER 25–26 — HUNTER'S MOON

October's Full Moon will rise above forests, fields, and quiet autumn landscapes.

Watch around moonrise on October 25 or 26. Near the horizon, it may appear golden-orange as its light travels through Earth's atmosphere.

The Moon reaches peak illumination late on October 25 in the United States.

✨ OCTOBER 27–28 — MOON MEETS THE PLEIADES

Our bright waning gibbous Moon will pass near the Seven Sisters, a beautiful cluster of stars roughly 440 light-years away.

Look east during the evening of October 27. Binoculars can help, although the Moon's glow will make the fainter stars difficult to see.

☄️ NOVEMBER 4–5 — SOUTHERN TAURIDS METEOR SHOWER

The Southern Taurids return with slow-moving meteors and the occasional brilliant fireball.

Find a dark location and give your eyes time to adjust. You may see only a few meteors per hour, but one especially bright streak could make the wait worthwhile.

Dark skies and limited moonlight should make observing more favorable this year.

☄️ NOVEMBER 11–12 — NORTHERN TAURIDS METEOR SHOWER

Another opportunity to watch for slow-moving shooting stars arrives as the Northern Taurids reach their peak.

With very little moonlight to interfere, conditions should be favorable for patient skywatchers.

Look up late at night, find a comfortable place away from city lights, and enjoy the quiet autumn sky.

🌲 Four sky events, four opportunities to experience the quiet wonder of nature beneath the stars.

📌 Save this guide. The first event begins October 25–26!

Which of these four sky events would you love to see? 👀

10/24/2026

🌕🪐 Don’t watch the Moon alone tonight.

On October 24, look beside the nearly full Moon for a steady golden point — that’s Saturn.

You can see both with your own eyes. But through a telescope, that tiny point reveals something extraordinary: Saturn’s rings.

Share this with someone who would look up with you tonight.

🌕 Don’t sleep through this moonrise. October’s Hunter’s Moon reaches full phase overnight October 25–26, but the most dramatic view comes as it rises warm and golden near the horizon. Save the evening and watch it climb.

🌙✨ SAVE THESE DATES! FOUR BEAUTIFUL SKY EVENTS ARE COMING!

October's Full Moon reaches its peak on October 26 at 04:11 UTC, which is late October 25 in the United States. Watch the moonrise for a beautiful golden glow near the horizon.

🌔🔵 Don’t look away tonight. The bright Moon is sitting near Neptune on October 23–24, but the distant ice giant is too faint to see with the naked eye. Use the Moon as your guide, then bring a telescope for the hidden reveal.
