Newborn sessions are more than just about your baby’s portraits, it’s about highlighting the relationships and love surrounding them. 🤍

As an in-home newborn photographer with a lifestyle approach in Chicago, I love catching the little gentle ways love shows up in your newborn session.

The way mom looks at baby like they’re finally here, the way dad counts every tiny toe (my husband did this with our babies too!), the little-big siblings coming in cautiously then squeezes them a little too tightly, and of course the curious licks from your (often first) fur baby just trying to join in on the moment. 🐾

Not perfectly swaddled, not entirely posed, just gently guided with a little wiggle room to feel relaxed, calm and connected to your newest family member.

The sweetest part of being a lifestyle newborn photographer is that we get to preserve not only what your baby looked like, but how deeply they were loved from the very beginning. 🥰

When it’s summer time, but you share a session that feels like spring foliage, but actually photographed in the fall.

This was the session that led me back to photographing more couples. I’ve been photographing so many babies and families these last couple of years, I forgot how slow and intentional photographing couples can be. While I love playing around with tots and kids and capturing the unpredictable joys in between prompts, I love that photographing lovers allows me to be more directive and creative with my vision.
