A little life update… 🤍

On May 29th, I married my best friend and became Hope Slaats… a new chapter of my life that I feel so incredibly blessed to be living!

But as I started changing my name everywhere else, there was one place I just couldn’t bring myself to change it: Hope Heeg Photography.

“Heeg” is so much more than my maiden name. It holds my childhood. My family. My siblings. The home I grew up in. The people who raised me. So many versions of myself, and so many memories that made me who I am today.

And the more I thought about it, the more fitting it felt to keep it here, because in a way, that’s exactly what my business is about.

Photographs give us a way to hold onto the people, places, seasons, and versions of ourselves that inevitably change with time. They preserve the memories we never want to lose.

So while I’m incredibly excited to step into this new chapter as Hope Slaats, a little piece of where I came from will continue to live here.

Hope Heeg Photography is here to stay. 🤍
