Obsessed with the joy that Alexis and Andrew brought to their session! We had originally planned to take photos lakefront and get some skyline views, but a huge fog cloud caused us to pivot to the Art Institute for the first part of their session and it didn’t stop them from having the best time! I am so excited to be part of their day next year ❤️

Hi! First of all—Welcome to S.Marie Photo, Im so glad you’re here! For the new faces, I’m Sydnie, the owner and lead photographer for all your moments, I’m so honored that you’re considering me to capture them! Now for some exciting updates!

1. When I started photography in 2023, I literally said to my own wedding photographer “I would never do wedding photography!” And then immediately went back on that and got into shooting weddings, and I’m so glad I did because it’s truly my passion. Many of you know that I currently teach full time, but I’m so excited to announce that starting in June, I’ll be running SMP full time!! I’m so excited to have more flexibility and time for each of my clients and I can’t wait to put all my focus into my business, and it’s possible because of all of you!!

2. I’m also SO excited to announce that my husband and I are expecting our first! Baby boy will be arriving in late October and we cannot wait 💙
That being said, I will be taking my maternity leave from regular sessions from early October through January 1st and only shooting my scheduled weddings. If you’re looking to get family, newborn, couples, or any other type of regular session in, reach out sooner than later to get your date on my calendar!

I’m so grateful for each client who has trusted me and I can’t wait to continue to capture your memories!

Started wedding season off strong with Maddie and AJ’s day! From all the little running around while the girls got ready, to the most encouraging and fun bridal party made up of their siblings, to the foot washing during their ceremony (and Maddie’s slippers at the reception) this day was full of joy and love from beginning to end. I’m so honored to have been part of it!
