The Q3 Monochrom has quickly become my favorite camera and my essential everyday carry.
I have had multiple versions of Fujifilm and Canon cameras with each serving a different purpose but this Leica is different. It simplifies everything. By removing color it forces me to focus entirely on light, shadow, and the soul of the frame.
It is rare to find a piece of gear that feels both like a luxury and a necessary tool. The Q3M has officially taken the top spot in my bag.

Chicago moves when its transit moves.

The Red Line expansion isn’t just tracks and stations. It’s access. It’s time back in people’s day. It’s jobs, schools, and opportunities finally within reach.

This project means connection for neighborhoods that have been waiting far too long.

This is what progress looks like.

Just another Thursday commute home.

Until I hear Chants. Movement. Urgency. Moving closer to the sound commotion.

Instead, I found something steady.

The Chicago Public Schools lunch workers stood together with quiet intention. No chaos. Just presence.

Signs held firm.

Expressions calm, tired, but proud.

The light was soft, almost still.

I switched to black and white.

It cut everything down to truth.

What stayed with me most were the in-between moments.

A glance. A pause. A quiet exchange.

This wasn’t about action.

It was about dignity.

Have you ever noticed how the best moments happen in between?

Not at the destination
Not at the event
But in the quiet space of getting there

A glance out the window
A stranger lost in thought
A reflection in the glass at just the right second

Commuters, travelers, people in motion
Each one carrying a story you’ll never fully know

That’s what pulls me in

Photography, for me, lives in those in-between moments
Where no one is posing
Nothing is staged
And everything is real

And that’s why I love shooting in black and white
It strips everything down to the truth
No distractions, no noise
Just light, shadow, and emotion

Just people
Moving through life
One frame at a time 📷

Chicago really said “work can wait.”

took over the city and nobody even tried to hide it. Emails unanswered, meetings mysteriously “rescheduled”… yeah, we all know why.

Honestly… if you weren’t outside, were you even in Chicago yesterday?

History doesn’t just happen; it marches. 📸 Captured the “No Kings” protest snaking through the Loop today.

Between the towering glass of the skyline and the raw energy on the pavement, the scale was incredible. It’s one thing to hear the chants—it’s another to see them reflected in the lens.

A night where everything moved in sync.

The music
The people
The energy in the room

From behind the lens, it wasn’t about chasing shots.
It was about letting moments find me.
• A head nod on beat
• A quiet laugh between songs
• Hands in the air without hesitation

Nothing forced.
Nothing staged.

Just real movement and real connection.

These are the nights that remind me why I shoot.
Not just to capture what it looked like…
but what it felt like.
