I have accidentally given myself a deadline worthy of Hunter S Thompson; I’m two weeks late with more product than I know what to do with, emotionally exhausted after escaping my fear and self loathing of the DNC–and misusing semicolons.

“As long as I'm learning something, I figure I'm OK - it's a decent day.” -HST

I wish I could--they happen so often, and they're well within the range of my 📸 ability. It didn't take much to send me over the top before bugging out of the United Center for good on that s**t-stained Tuesday night. These images are about all I could pull from my short time on the floor

The final peaceful, but tense protest of the Police reinforced key points on the marching route of the last three actions. Park 578 near the United Center security perimiter was blocked off by lines of officers. The brand, sparkling new Damen Green Line was closed down and blocked by another wall of Chicago Police officers, as well as every side street from Damen to Ashland. About 2 dozen protesters broke off from the main group, sitting in the street against the collective will of hundreds of cops surrounding Union Park.

"The massive, frustrated energies of a mainly young, disillusioned electorate that has long since abandoned the idea that we all have a duty to vote. This is like being told you have a duty to buy a new car, but you have to choose immediately between a Ford and a Chevy." -Hunter S Thompson
Thousands gathered again in Union Park to march on the democratic national convention once again. No arrests were made, though a couple were detained and immediately released. For

Chicago Police Superintendent Larry Snelling (image 1) watches through the security perimeter fencing around the United Center, on the first day of the Democratic National Convention. A small breach of the fence occurred earlier, during the March on the DNC protest in Park 578; the 1900 block of Washington Blvd. The breach was repaired (image 5) but soon followed the Police pushing press and protesters from the park
