Gracia and Jake’s wedding day— traveling back and forth across state lines between Michigan City, New Buffalo, and Chesterton to visit their favorite places with their favorite people. ✨

I always love when couples trust me to document their celebrations with intentionality and creativity.

But I also love when they bring their ideas to the table too. Jake and Gracia had a vision for what they wanted to experience, and together, I think we all sculpted the day into something truly incredible.

The idea credit for the first photo goes entirely to Jake, the groom. This room had the dimly lit, classy feel that he wanted specifically for this portrait.

The same creative approach and six completely different expressions of celebration ⬇️

✨ Solene + Jim — Château de Cormicy (Cormicy, France)�This couple planned a quiet, intimate destination wedding in the French countryside that felt like a luxury dinner party. Their pup (Jax) trotted around the grounds of Château de Cormicy, delicious appetizers and desserts were served in the evening, and most of the night was spent around candlelit tables with their closest people.

✨ Claudia + Gabriel — Off Map Glamping (South Haven, Michigan)�Claudia and Gabriel’s wedding was curated 100% to fit their personalities. The bride sculpted bud vases for the reception tables, the groom designed drinking glasses as wedding favors, and together they created a cocktail hour / dinner / dessert menu of their favorite foods. The whole day felt cozy, artistic, and honest.

✨ Daniel + Lukasz — Galleria Marchetti (Chicago, Illinois)�This classy Chicago celebration was characterized by jewel color tones and family culture. Polish wedding traditions were thoughtfully incorporated into the day. Cocktail hour was intentional and elegant, and Galleria Marchetti was packed full of people who genuinely wanted to celebrate the bride and groom.

✨ Ally + Ian — The Covenant Place (Marion, Indiana)�This summer wedding revolved around community and hype. Ally and Ian enjoyed an outdoor wedding ceremony at The Covenant Place, a sunflower patch at sunset, and a dance floor that stayed packed all night.

✨ Ysa + Curtis — Huffman Manor (Fairbanks, Alaska)�This Alaska destination wedding felt more like a weekend gathering with friends than a formal event. The couple enjoyed a slow morning, making hot chocolate with their guests, and having a PJ party wedding reception in Fairbanks.

✨ Emma + Sam — Ivy House (Saugatuck, Michigan)�Emma and Sam’s Michigan greenhouse wedding ceremony was characterized by layers of greenery, a floral arch, and warm sunshine. The live band was our favorite part of their Ivy House wedding reception!

Introducing Kai Ling and Aaron’s winter wedding photos ✨

Some blessings that Jesus gifted this couple for their weekend of celebration:

🌿 So many selfless friends who helped rearrange furniture, steam linens, arrange florals, decorate tables, and even bake their cake
🌿 No one catching on fire during their sparkler exit 🎉

It was a privilege for me and Daniel to get to know these two better and document such a special occasion in their lives. We can’t wait to see where the Lord takes them as they face the world together!

Ecclesiastes 4:9-12 ✨

“Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their labor:
If either of them falls down, one can help the other up.
But pity anyone who falls and has no one to help them up.

Rachel’s bridal braids were 👌🏼 and we were all grateful that the rain held off to preserve her wedding look. And of course, Zach and his guys all looked sharp in their tan suits.

Their wedding reception was full of intentional details— Rachel chose to have decor with terracotta tones, gold accents and boho touches that made the barn feel welcoming and earthy.

Some of our favorite details were the donut wall (yes, a whole wall of donuts!) and the Polaroid camera guest book — an interactive activity for guests to leave behind little pieces of the day.

Sometimes our work feels too good to be real. It leaves us feeling like this: 😲

Daniel and I are still taking in the incredible experience we’ve had …

• Forming new friendships with Jim and Solene
• Documenting their wedding celebrations both in the USA and in France
• Witnessing the beautiful merging of two different family cultures
• Feeling seen as more than photographers and videographers through the ways both families welcomed us with open arms
• Participating in the rich food, fellowship, and joy that they share
