Brand photography with a little more feeling. ✨

Today I want to feature Milwaukee Ayurvedic practitioner Rima Shah. Rooted in her Indian heritage and first introduced to Ayurveda by her grandparents, Rima has spent nearly 20 years helping people find greater balance, vitality, and well-being through this ancient practice.

It was awesome to visit Rima in Milwaukee for her portrait and lifestyle session earlier this year

And this fall, she’s bringing that work back to its roots with two incredible retreats in India, including an immersive journey through the Golden Triangle + Rishikesh and a 14-day Ayurvedic Panchakarma retreat in Kerala. 🇮🇳✨

Hello from Twiggs Park, Evanston!

I spent last Saturday at 5th Annual Family Fest Block Party, filming from the skies.

One of the things I love about aerial photography is how it gives a story a sense of place and perspective. From up here, we’re all neighbors!

Today, growth has everything to do with how we contextualize ourselves in community. I’m grateful for opportunities like this to serve Connections for the Homeless and their mission of helping neighbors to achieve stable and safe housing in Evanston and northern Cook County.

Get Visibility To Your Mission and Gain The Confidence To Be Seen

That’s the theme of the panel I’m speaking on tonight, and I’m so honored to be part of this conversation. Thank you to Nicole Bolden and FemCity® Chicago for the invitation to share insights on visibility, confidence, embodiment, and what it truly means to allow yourself to be seen.

As a photographer, I’ve learned that most women don’t actually need to become "more photogenic.” They need safe spaces to reconnect with themselves, trust their presence, and stop viewing visibility as performance.

Tonight we’ll be talking about:
• overcoming the fear of being seen
• showing up authentically in business and life
• confidence on camera
• visibility without performative perfection
• and the power of embodiment in personal branding
