I’ve always wanted to do a surprise proposal in Chicago Union Station but it only makes sense for certain couples who have a story that connects at Union Station. For Jake & Maggie their story was just that. It was such a sweet moment. More to come from their engagement session that followed.

It said no rain and 30 mins before the proposal it started raining and it worked out perfectly because it cleared out the park and we basically had it to ourselves. What’s a few sprinkles when you get the sunshine in the end making the skyline glow orange. Matt proposed to Cecily and of course she said yes! I’m also digging all the algae collecting on the pond these days. Tomorrow I have THREE proposals on what is so far the most popular date for proposing this year. Stay tuned for so many previews!

Rancho Los Guzman seems like a secret venue tucked away in Joliet and it is STUNNING. This place transports you to another world. This surprise proposal featured a beautiful Mariachi band that helped the couple celebrate their new engagement. Truly this session felt like a movie set. Some proposals video is a non-negotiable and this was definitely one of them as the groom to-be put a lot of planning and careful thought into including the band and decor.
