Chicago, IL – Adopt Melanie and Her Six Amazing Kittens

Melanie is a beautiful two-year-old black and white momma cat who was rescued from a shed with her six tiny kittens. The babies are now seven weeks old and all looking for loving guardians – preferably in pairs, or one to a family that already has a friendly feline.

Melanie’s kittens are Bryce, male tabby tux, Carl, male black and white, Sincere male grey and white tabby, Trinity, female tabby tux, Aniya, female patch tabby, and Zach, male black and white.

They are living in a loving foster home, all very well-socialized, healthy, f***l-tested, dewormed, up-to-date on vaccines and will be spayed in mid-September.

They are playful, well-behaved in the home and use their litter box faithfully.

Chicago, IL – Adopt Artemis the Cat-Loving Feline

Artemis is a beautiful, seven-pound, 18-month-old, sweet and very shy black female cat looking for a loving guardian.

Found on the campus of Misericordia in Chicago’s Rogers Park neighborhood, Artemis moved into the boiler room with her family of six kittens.

All the babies have found a home, now it’s Artemis’ turn!

She is a lovely cat who is great with other cats. She’s intimidated by big male cats, but loves gentle and sweet females. She is extremely shy with humans but lets you pet her and will warm up more in time. She’s looking for a patient cat-lover willing to give her the time to socialize.

Artemis’ favorite toys are balled up pieces of paper. She loves to play.

She is now very healthy, up to date on rabies and distemper vaccines, virus and f***l-tested negative, and has had full bloodwork done. She will be spayed at the end of the month.

She is perfect with her litter box and very well behaved in the home.

Chicago, IL – Foster/Adopt Holly the Husky-Mix

Holly is a beautiful, playful, fun, affectionate, and loving five-year-old, 56-pound, female black and white Husky-mix looking for a loving guardian.

Holly is perfectly well-behaved, housetrained and crate-trained. She knows the commands sit, down, paw, other paw, and roll-over. She loves to show off all her tricks! She’s fine as an apartment or condo dog or in a house where she can do zoomies in a fenced-in yard. She’s typically quiet unless she needs to communicate with you. She does have a strong fun personality and she’s a very smart girl.

Holly thinks she’s a snuggly little lap dog and LOVES to play ball. In the home, she settles down nicely. She gives kisses and absolutely adores her people. She loves her leashed walks, is absolutely phenomenal passenger in the car. She’s also good with most other dogs. She does have a high prey drive so no cats for her … and she hunts down bunnies and birds on walks.

Found as a stray, she was dropped off at Chicago Animal Control and taken in by Friends of Petraits Rescue.

Holly is very healthy, spayed, microchipped, and up to date on rabies, distemper, bordetella and leptospirosis vaccines. She is f***l and heartworm tested negative, and on monthly preventative. Her adoption fee of $150 benefits the rescued pets of Friends of Petraits Rescue.

Shires is a beautiful, talkative, and incredibly sweet four-year-old tuxedo brown tabby with an adorable chirp of a meow looking for a loving guardian.

Found wandering in a friend's yard, she had no collar, tag, or microchip so she was taken to rescue.

She is a lovely cat, obviously a previously indoor cat, who had been abandoned or lost. She is incredibly affectionate and people-loving. She hasn’t yet warmed up to other cats and dogs, so she can be adopted as the one and only pet in the household.

She is now very healthy, spayed, up to date on rabies and distemper vaccines, microchipped, virus and f***l-tested negative. She has also been de-wormed and treated with Revolution for flea and ear mite prevention.

She is perfect with her litter box and very well behaved in the home.

Chicago, IL – Adopt Figgy Fields the Gentle and Sweet Male Silver Tabby Lap Cat

Figgy Fields is a very handsome, talkative, gentle and sweet, golden-eyed, one-year-old, eight-pound, male silver tabby cat looking for a loving guardian.

This loving dude was rescued from underneath a heavy metal grate at the Marshall Fields’ housing development in Chicago’s Old Town neighborhood and brought to Chicago Animal Care and Control.

Concerned feline-lovers who heard of his plight asked Friends of Petraits Rescue to take him in.
This boy is a love sponge and a volunteer favorite. He rolls over on his back for belly rubs and purrs and purrs (and drools with joy). He is the quintessential lap cat. He will work the room jumping from lap to lap, gazing lovingly into your eyes. He is a playful dude who loves to play fetch. He will also snuggle next to you in bed all night.

Figgy Fields had been stuck under the grate for days meowing for rescue. Luckily, besides being skinny (only six pounds at the time of his rescue), he is otherwise very healthy, now neutered, vaccinated for rabies and distemper, microchipped and virus-tested negative. He has been dewormed and treated with Revolution as preventative.

Figgy Fields has been very well-behaved in the home, and uses his litter box like a good boy. Unfortunately, he appears to be afraid of other cats and dogs, so he’s looking for a loving family all his own as the only pet.

Chicago, IL – Adopt Momma Ingrid and Her Kitten Rockwell

Ingrid is an incredibly sweet, playful, and gentle one-year-old grey and white female cat looking for a loving guardian, preferably with her kitten Rockwell. Rockwell is a playful four-month-old black tabby kitten with golden eyes.

Found stray in the West Garfield Park neighborhood, Momma Ingrid was pregnant when taken into rescue. Baby Rockwell was born on May 1st in a loving foster home.

They are adorable together, use their litter box like good girls. Momma still grooms her baby and they love to wrestle and play.

Monty is a handsome, playful, snuggly and fun four-month-old, male brown tabby kitten with golden eyes looking for a loving guardian.

Monty is perfectly behaved in the home, wonderfully clean and tidy with his top entry litter box, playful jumping for toys and his cat dancer, and he loves to eat. In fact, he purrs as he munches and plays. He is so cute!

Found stray in West Garfield Park, this handsome little dude had no collar or microchip, so he was taken into rescue and has since been fully – vetted!

Monty came into rescue as a single kitten so this is the rare instance where we will adopt out a kitten on their own. Dogs scare him, and other cats take him a while to warm up to.

Monty is extremely healthy, dewormed, treated with Revolution, up-to-date on rabies and distemper vaccines, neutered, virus-tested negative, and microchipped.
