Last little spam from this amazing styled shoot! 🌸 I like to do one every 1-2 years for fun and to add some creativity into my portfolio. While they are not the same as weddings, I enjoy being able to play around with posing a different styles that I may not have the flexibility to do on a real wedding day.

I had my first full day wedding of the year on Friday, which kicks off my busy season. I have a work trip next week that will have some fun mixed in, so stay tuned to see what I’m up to! Then a few limited grad sessions this year with very limited availability to do more in April-May. Then horse shows and weddings the rest of summer. I am offering Year of the Horse possible discounted sessions the whole year, so don’t forget to take advantage of those!

A moment for the stationary and details from this styled shoot. 😍 Flat lays are an art, but it helps to have lots of amazing pieces to work with. I love showing up at a wedding and seeing the unique pieces of couples’ story that got them to their wedding and what they choose to bring into their flat lays. I always try to do a more formal flat lays with a good representation of their items and then some closer looks into that. If there’s time and the inspiration, I also enjoy taking creative approaches too or using unique features of the room or from the couple’s collection. Some images are cropped here for Instagram, but the full versions I’m posting on Facebook today.

I can now add Ferret Photographer to my resume using some of my equine Easter props with a makeshift backdrop my friend Allison has for her sewing projects. The ferrets funny little things! Way harder to photograph than dogs and horses, but similar level to cats.😅

Toby❤️ Warmblood gelding. Unfortunately he is no longer with us, but I’m glad I decided to photograph him before he moved. Tatum is a long time client, so I offered to photograph her other horses before she moved to Texas and would edit after she moved and settled in. Toby was a big handsome guy with some quirks, but a really unique story. I’m glad he got to live the rest of his life with Tatum.
