YOU GUYSSSSS I’m so excited to share that I am ✨officially✨ a member of .studio which means I can now offer STUDIO SESSIONS 🎉😭

If you know winter in Chicago, you know having a studio space is a game changer—no worrying about wind, weather, or having to change clothes in my car 🤣 (iykyk!). I am so freaking excited to create with you all in this stunning space that has beautiful backdrops, props and even a desk for those branding shots. .hebner absolutely killed it when curating this space.

Blessed with the best ✨ My favorite thing about photography continues to be the people I meet because of it. Seeing their confidence grow is the cherry on top.

When I first shot with a few years ago she expressed that she didn’t really know what she was doing (like most people) but had the best attitude and was stoked to be there (all I can ask for tbh!) taking direction and getting out of her comfort zone. Fast forward to our latest shoot and this girl is KILLLLING it with confidence. 🎉🎉 Posing like she’s been doing this her whole life. It has been so rewarding to see her become more + more comfortable in front of the cam, capturing images she feels amazing in.

Moral of the story—just because you’re not a trained model doesn’t mean you can’t have photos of yourself that you love!!! So if that’s what’s holding you back, get out of your head and book the shoot. You’ll be so happy you did! 🤗

When I was first exploring photography, I didn’t know what my niche would be. Somehow I stumbled into working with strong, passionate women who run small businesses—from nutritionists to career coaches to bloggers/influencers—and found my people. These women who are so passionate, so creative, so driven inspire me to be my best. They are some of the hardest working, most supportive people I know. So here’s an appreciation post for all the women who keep me going. If I could tag every single one of you I would. Grateful for you 🤍

I don’t photograph engagement sessions often, but when I do I demand pups are involved! 😉 Had the best session hangin’ with Amy + Matt and their beautiful angel pup Scout in Lincoln Park this weekend. I mean can we talk about those fall colors?? 😍 Obsessed.

I would never consider myself a morning person, but for the last month I’ve had to get up before sunrise almost every day and I mighttt slowly be converting. There’s just something so wonderfully peaceful about being out + about in the quiet sleepiness, especially for shoots because you get the whole city to yourselves! 👌🏼👌🏼 ⠀

2020//THE YEAR OF HEALTH//⠀
⠀
Each year I choose a word to guide me in my everyday, to help me live with intention. For 2020 I’ve chosen health.⠀
⠀
While this past year has been filled with many great things like the opportunity to travel, spend time with family and friends, and continue growing in my career, 2019 was also one of the most challenging years of my life. In many ways I lost sight of who I am, what I want + where I want to go. My physical health fell to the wayside and with it went my mental and emotional health. I’ve never been in this place and honestly it’s really rattled me, especially the last few months. ⠀
⠀
After a lot of self reflection, I’ve realized it’s okay to not be okay, and that much of it comes down to self worth, something I’ve been lacking. So I’m doing what I can to change that. This is the year I start making myself a priority + do what’s best for me and my body. ⠀
⠀
I share this to hold myself accountable + because putting it out into the universe makes it real. It won’t be easy, but it will be very, very worth it.⠀

Here’s to a healthier me ✨

The only alley in New York lookin cute af for the holidays 🎄 didn’t get to eat at last time I was in town, so I’m super glad we prioritized because it was SO GOOD. Food was amaze + it’s super cozy inside. Highly recommend!
