Had an amazing family photo session with the Fanto family over this week at Shawnee Mission park! I love when my clients bring pets along 🙂

I have 2 time slots open during the week and a couple more on the weekend, there’s just a few weeks left of wildflowers and fall colors, DM me to claim a spot! 😀

// Erica called me a few weeks ago saying she wanted to get a few pictures done for her maternity shoot, with a baby due in 2 weeks I had to get her in quick! I barely had to tell her how to pose during the shoot, she struck her own poses that carried sort of a mysterious aura around them, it was a blast to shoot with someone like her.

This was my first time shooting at Humboldt Park, it’s been so much fun for me to explore all these new locations in Chicago with clients. I can’t wait to work with these two (and their pup) again! //

// Just finished up a photo set for the Lee family. This was their sons first birthday, so they held Korean tradition in their Chicago apartment instead of a party.

We moved from the apartment to a park near Chinatown to wrap up the shoot, love how these came out! //

// I met a photographer the other night while walking around on a rooftop, he told me he does street photography, something I haven’t done in a long time because of the booked up weekends. Woke up this morning and decided to retouch a few old street style shots from 2018!

This was one of the first “paid” shoots I ever did, only charging about 20 bucks an hour. From here things really picked up, it’s been fun to go back into my old edits to see what I’ve learned from then. //

// A few shots from one of my favorite places on this earth. 3 of us spontaneously took off at the end of May to get a away from home for a bit and we ended up In South Dakota. With 50 pounds on our backs, we scaled the sides of the buttes in Badlands National Park and found our rocky, buggy home for the next week!

This was one of the most beautiful and serene places I’ve ever seen, you haven’t seen stars until you’ve seen badlands stars. The first picture was taken around 2 AM on a clear night and I was lucky enough to catch a few shooting stars in the frame. God I can’t wait to get back out there! //

// This was one of the last freelance creative shoots I did before moving to Chicago, one of my friends sent me down here with nothing but a few roads to turn on and the directions of “there’s some planes in a field, you’ll know it when your there”

Despite the 60 bug bites and dirty clothes, this was one of the coolest shoots I’ve ever done! It’s crazy that these planes were just sitting in the middle of a field in backcountry Kansas, but they yielded some of the best pictures I’ve shot. //

// I’ve gotten to see courthouse weddings pretty often during Covid, so many cancelled weddings and lost deposits many couples wanted to tie the knot ASAP! //

// Grace called me a few weeks back to do a maternity shoot for their new baby-to-be. After getting rained out 3 times and barely fitting her in before the due date, we finally got out to Shawnee Mission Park and caught some perfect gloomy day lighting! //

// I got to shoot with Youngin and Ronnie a few weeks ago for his second birthday, they had just moved here from Korea and wanted a nature shoot! The trees at Loose always photograph so well. //

// Checked my phone an hour ago just to realize all my photos from the past 4 years have been deleted! On the bright side, it’s time for a fresh start anyway before I leave town!

I had the pleasure of shooting Jack & Courtney’s engagement this morning, alongside with their pup Fisher. Congrats to the both of them! //
