Megan & Dave are MARRIED!!! Had the pleasure of capturing their summer wedding ceremony at St. John Cantius on Saturday, complete with an evening celebration at historic Palmer House. Highlights include post-ceremony beers at Map Room, Daveā€™s live guitar performance (a song he originally wrote to propose to Megan), and their own kids as the wedding party!

This was one of the most memorable days weā€™ve ever photographed, and an absolute honor to be part of. Thanks to Nohemi for capturing this one with me! Canā€™t wait to share more :)

These two middle-school sweethearts finally tied the knot last weekend at one of our favorite Chicago summer venues, Rockwell On The River :) Their day featured Greek and Assyrian traditions, a newlywed boat ride on the Chicago River, and all their favorite people celebrating in the same place.

Whitney & Corey are MARRIED!!! So excited to finally share sneak peeks from their gorgeous summer dream day at one of our favorite hotels in the city :) Where do I even begin with these two? From the summery color palette, handmade details (go Whitney!), and nods to their pup Webster (who was there in spirit), this day was overflowing with joy and endless inspiration.

Chicago. My city, my home for the past 19 years. So much has changed since I moved here from Milwaukee in 2007: with the world, in my life, and the city itself. My summer calendar is travel-free this yearā€¦ a rare but welcome change of pace.

I couldnā€™t be more thrilled to enjoy everything the city has to offer this season. Watch out: you just may catch me at a festival or two (in between editing wedding galleries, of course!).

TGIF! I cannot believe that 2026 is more than halfway overā€¦ and it has already been an eventful year. If youā€™re new around here, Hello! Iā€™m Emma: owner, manager, and lead photographer of Emma Mullins Photography.

Some fun facts about me:

* Iā€™m a Pisces through and through. BUT I was born on the Aquarius-Pisces cusp, which means that Iā€™m a liiiittle bit psychic.
* Iā€™ve lived in Chicago for almost 20 years, which is not something I planned for. Still no plans to leave this city.
* I was a Theatre Kid for most of my childhood and early adulthood (itā€™s what originally brought me to Chicago!). Iā€™ve performed in and directed several shows in both Milwaukee and Chicago.
* Storytelling is still a large part of what I do as a photographer. When I decided to pursue wedding photography, I didnā€™t realize there were so many similarities between directing a stage play and documenting a life event.

We are smack in the middle of our 2026 wedding season and it has been a whirlwind, in the best way. Every year Iā€™m reminded of the honor it is to serve so many happy couples and their families. And every year we get to be part of each coupleā€™s story, documenting once-in-a-lifetime moments and creating memories that will be with them forever.

On the Blog today: Brigid & Ryanā€™s romantic California wedding in Paso Robles :) The afternoon rain made for the most lush, green landscapeā€¦ and these two embraced the weather with the biggest smiles.
