2021 was a blur.

i’m sure you have heard this time and time again, but this year was the busiest, and craziest year of my entire career (in the best way).

i photographed over 100 weddings and sessions combined, met so many amazing people, made new friends, accomplished many goals, and improved in my craft and as a business owner. but most of all i just enjoyed the ride and found myself even more than i had the previous year.

2021 was a good one, and i have all of my couples and the endless support from all of you to thank for that — without all of you, this career wouldn’t be possible.

so i thank you, and will see you in 2022.

a brand new look.

i wanted to wait until my season had ended to share this goodness with you, but i couldn’t wait any longer.

this rebrand was a long time coming. i’ve had visuals made for my business before, but never quite like this. i reached out to andi () last april, but the timing just wasn’t right due to the worlds chaos and a few life changes. but she so kindly welcomed be back with open arms this year and created a brand for my business that i believe truly embodies not only my business, but myself.

nostalgia is my favorite feeling, and one that i want my couples to feel when working with me, not just though their images. and the work that andi and her team did went above and beyond my expectations. from every logo variation, every color all the way down to the letter-pressed text on the print materials, they all represent that nostalgic feeling perfectly.

i am beyond excited to offer a cohesive brand experience for all of my couples

i turned 28 yesterday.

it feels like i was just celebrating 27, blinked and now we’re here. time has become such a weird concept the last handful of years, and i’m still trying to understand how it moves so quickly.

within the last year i’ve made a home for myself, adopted my sweet mia, photographed 40+ weddings, met some incredible humans, and embraced life as it came. this life i live is a pretty good one.

so here’s to continuing down that same path this year and those to come — i’m glad you’re with me.

this is 28.

This is an image that I think about often. I remember seeing it in the back of my camera after snapping it knowing it was a favorite from the day — Amanda’s subtle smile shows so much fullness yet so much peace that her + Edward’s day was finally here. I really think it represents the energy for this year after what we all experience during last.

Relief. Happiness. Normalcy. Love.

Feels good to be back.

the best view of this city —

do you know where this incredible spot is? it’s one of my favorite hidden gems in chicago. right along the river walk next to north avenue beach, you can find the pier that leads out onto lake michigan and see this angle of the skyline. it never gets old.

one of my most favorite parts about this job is watching my past couples families grow — i photographed dalia + reeds wedding in september of 2019, and they welcomed their little man last summer! it’s always such an honor to photograph the special life moments, and each session is a wonderful reminder of that. @ Chicago, Illinois
