A little PSA / best practice from a wedding photographer’s perspective:
One of the most meaningful parts of the day is the “getting ready” portion. It’s where all the anticipation lives, the quiet moments, the nerves, the laughter, the interactions with your closest people. These are the moments that help tell the full story of your wedding day.
But more often than not, we walk into rooms where half the wedding party is on their phones. It makes it really difficult to capture genuine reactions and connections when people aren’t fully present.
If there’s one small thing I’d suggest: consider putting phones away during this part of the day. Even having someone casually collect them for a bit (like keys at a party) can make a huge difference.
Be present. Those moments go by fast, and they’re worth being in, not scrolling through.
