5 things worth your money 💵

1. Books! I’ve always got one on me and if I don’t I have my kindle. Reading is something that helps us learn, grown, feel, and maybe even at times escape into a wonderful world. Plz read more📚

2. Education! I’ve never bought a course, training, or mentorship I walked away learning nothing. Every bit of education will give you something. Learning is something that makes you stronger and more confident no matter the subject.

3. Self Care! Anything that’s helping you mentally and physically is worth your money. I always say you can’t pour from an empty cup and it’s true. If you’re trying to avoid burnout and be the best version of yourself, you need to take care of YOU. However you see fit💕

4. Experiences! Anything that’s helping you lock in a core memory is worth it. Something you’ll cherish and appreciate for years to come. It doesn’t have to be lavish to work, it could simply be a lunch with a friend or a trip to a museum or concert.

5. Dogs! (Or pets) I love my pups dearly, they help me in a million ways even if it’s just laying on my lap on a hard day. They’re my favorite part of coming home and I wouldn’t trade a second of time I get to spend with them.

Ok, those are my 5, what are yours?👀

Are you holding your clients skin taut as you tweeze?🙃

Tweezing is most clients least favorite part of the brow shaping process. Holding the skin evenly tight helps to reduce that discomfort.

It helps the hair removal process, reducing breakage, and creating an even pull of the hair at the root.

Next time you tweeze try this holding position with your pinky laid across the skin— let me know if it helps💕

Brow tinting comes in all shapes and styles — this client loves a soft but bold look.

I started by shaping her brows with my hand tied threading method. I like to do this so it’s nice and defined and I can easily apply my tint without mapping.

As a free hand artist I like the brow shape to be carved first, especially since the thread won’t remove any tint or exfoliate the skin like brow waxing does.

I then applied hair pearl tint in shade medium brown mixed with their 6% developer. I’m terrible at keeping track of the timing of my tints, I like to watch the hair and gauge from there.

Removed the tint and voila ✨ these results!

My clients are stunning 😍✨

1st pic: client got a brow shaping (thread) and tint. I used BROWDADDY COSMETICS ‘s Stain line in medium brown. I love how quickly and thoroughly this line tints. I’m also a free hand artist and I like that the tint application retains the crispy lines.

2nd pic: client got a brow shaping (thread) and tint. I used Hairpearl Tint in shade medium brown with 6% developer. It looks cooler in the photo than it did in person but I could have used a bit of auburn to warm it up. Still love the results.

3rd: client got a lamination and tint, I also threaded for her shaping. She naturally has fuller brows we like to enhance. I used Hairpearl Tint tint and 3% developer and shade light brown. I love how soft and natural it looks while still being bold enough. (Last photo is her before)

Does threading make your brows thinner over time? 🤔

I get this question CONSTANTLY, so let’s settle it once and for all.

It’s not the modality — it’s the artist. A good brow artist knows exactly how much hair actually needs to come out (and how to listen to their client), even if that’s just a few strays. A not-so-great one removes hair to make you “feel” like you got your money’s worth, and that’s how brows could thin out over time.

Threading also just tends to hold up better in my experience (no science, just 10 years of watching regrowth patterns 👀). Since it doesn’t require a certain hair length like waxing does, I can see you more often without overdoing it.

Moral of the story: find an artist you trust, not a modality to fear 😉🤍

Save this for the next time someone tells you threading “ruins” your brows.

Success looks different for everyone👀

What works for me may not work for you. But I know once I took the time for myself and got serious about my goals and what I actually needed. I felt like I had reached the state of success I had dreamed of.

One of the biggest things that helped me get there was help. Help from a personal trainer to aid my body, therapists for my mental health, and mentorship for my business.

We’re often doing so much alone, and I fought getting help for years. But I’ll let ya in on the secret, it’s worth it💕

Take care of yourself by not doing it alone. But more importantly remember to put yourself first. Cause like I love to say— ya can’t pour from an empty cup💖

My favorite thing to do when I’m tinting over old tattooing/microblading?

Color theory ✨🎨

Most tattooing (not all) tends to heal on the cooler side. Which can create a dullness to the eyebrow area. Leaving blue/grey hair strokes or pigment behind the hairs.

Utilizing color theory we know that in order to come to some kind of neutral or correction we need to warm them up. Using a warmer tint to dye the brow hairs or even leave a bit of skin stain behind we can do that!

This helps to bring life back to the brow area and kick dull to the curb. Lamination mixed with this is even better because we lift the hairs up as well creating even more depth.

Have you ever done this too? What’s your favorite tint to use?

Threading builds loyalty in a way that waxing 🙈

It has everything to do with becoming a specialty provider instead of a convenient one 👀

If you’re an esthetician tired of chasing new clients, brow threading is the skill that changes your retention game. Threading clients aren’t looking for whoever’s available. They’re looking for the one who makes sure their brows AND skin are top priority ✨
