Right off the Bobolink Trail at Slate Run Wetlands is one of Ohio's largest osage orange trees. This beautiful tree is around 54 inches in diameter. The photos don't do it justice, its something you just have to see in person.
Settlers introduced the Osage Orange to Ohio in the 1800s. The tree bare a lime green fruit with a bumpy texture also known as hedge apples.
There is an observation deck near the tree where you can look out over the wetlands.
