Well guys, southern Oregon is looking at a very hot day today. The weather says high of 90, but it's 9am and it's already 92. 🥵

What is your favorite thing to do on a hot day? Show me with a picture. I'll start:

Hot days make me want to find a good river or lake. Ideally I hit the coast because the temperature is usually 10-20 degrees cooler.

This seagull had a lot to say about us intruding on her space. She also had fellow flock members circling and squawking at us the closer we got to the end of the boat dock.

When we'd nearly reached the end of the docks we realized they had nests. Not only that, but they had chicks in those nests. We didn't stay long after realizing they were protecting their young. I also unfortunately was unable to get a great view of the chicks to get photos. So I snapped a shot of this mama seagull and left her space.

We took a day trip to Newport, Oregon. We checked out the lovely Yaquina bay lighthouse. Took a walk downtown. And check...

Kortana, my bestest best friend. The girl who has never let me down. Who has walked through a large portion of my adult life with me. My little shadow.

I loved border collies and Australian shephards before I found her, but she's just made my love for herding breeds so much stronger. She's smart, loyal, and loves to have crazy chaotic fun then take a nice long nap. My type of gal. 🤣

You probably won't believe me when I say this, but that is her actual eye color. 😍 I did not edit this photo. She just has those beautiful Aussie eyes that mesmerize you.

I love all dogs, but border collies and aussies will probably always be my favorite.
