PRE-PHOTO SESSION TIPS - Last in this series of tips ( I ll be back with more)

Weekly Tip #5 - DON'T BE A DEER IN THE HEADLIGHTS 🦌

Practice and get comfy, or you'll end up with a bunch of awkward photos that'll make you cringe for life! 😂

Stand in front of a mirror and strike a pose (or 10) to find your best angles. Let your photographer know if you're feeling extra awkward about certain poses - they won't judge you (much). 😟

And most importantly, relax and have fun! The more you laugh, the more natural you'll look. Trust us, your photographer wants you to look cool, not like a stiff robot. 🤖

PRE-PHOTOSHOOT TIPS

Weekly Tip # 4 - DON'T BE A HOT MESS ON CAMERA (PART 2)! 📸

Prioritize rest and self-care, or you'll be like, 'I'm a zombie, braaaaains...' 😴

Leading up to your shoot, take care of your body so you don't look like you just rolled out of bed (unless that's the vibe you're going for, in which case, carry on). Get enough sleep: A well-rested face is like a filter, but, you know, real life. 💤

Stay hydrated: Drink water, or your skin will be all, 'Uh, no, I'm good. I'll just stay dry and flaky, thanks.' 💧

Schedule grooming appointments: Don't try to DIY a haircut the night before, trust us on that one. 💇‍♀️

And, for the love of all things good, avoid new products: You don't want to be that person who breaks out in a rash right before the shoot. 🤣

Weekly Tip #3 - DON'T BE A HOT MESS!

Plan your outfits and props in advance, or you'll end up like me - scrambling last minute and hoping for the best 🙅‍♀️.

Bring extra outfits, because let's be real, you never know when you'll spill coffee on yourself ☕️.

And don't even get me started on props - a lint roller is a must, because who doesn't love a good cat hair-free photo? 🐈

Talk to your photographer beforehand, so they don't think you're crazy for bringing a chicken as a prop (just me? 🐓).

Weekly Tip #2 DON'T BE CAUGHT OFF GUARD! 🙅‍♀️

Discuss logistics and expectations with your photographer before the big day! 📅

Confirm the timeline and location, or you might end up lost in a random field 🌳.

Ask how many edited pics you'll get in your final gallery, or you'll be stuck with 10 identical selfies 🤳.

And for those super important events like weddings/senior pictures, have a backup plan for bad weather or a last-minute emergency 🌪️.

Oh, and don't forget to read the contract before signing - you don't want any surprises 💸!

Meet your photographer before hand and make sure you're on the same page! It's like going on a blind date, but instead of hoping for a second date, you're hoping for amazing photos 😂.

Trust me, it's worth it! Over the next few weeks, I'll be dishing out tips on Sundays to make your photo sessions a breeze. Stay tuned! 📸

Meeting you photographer in person is alway the best route, some times schedules conflict and that is not alway easy, you can correspond through phone calls, messages or emails. COMMUNICATION is always key! Don't worry if schedules clash, just grab your phone and get chatty - COMMUNICATION is the ultimate wingman! 💬

Tip #1: CREATE A MOOD BOARD 🎨

It's like a visual cheat sheet that helps you and your photographer get on the same page about the aesthetic you want to achieve. Search on platforms like Pinterest or Instagram and collect images of poses, lighting, and locations that inspire you. This helps you communicate your creative vision and ensures everyone is aligned with the overall theme and mood of the shoot. It's like swiping right on your dream photoshoot 📸!
