I've been inspired by coming into the homes and lives of the people I meet and I want to show how moments are truly lived. A little reminder from behind the scenes… 🤍

This week, a wedding client from 10 years ago reached out looking for one specific photo.

Thankfully, I was able to go into the backend of my old gallery system and temporarily reactivate her gallery so she could access her images again. It was a happy surprise that I could!

It also reminded me of something that’s worth sharing:

Digital galleries aren’t meant to be permanent storage.

Technology changes. Companies evolve. Gallery platforms update (or disappear altogether!), and older galleries eventually time out or are retired.

Whether your photos are from me or another photographer, take a few minutes this week to make sure they’re safely backed up.

I always recommend:
🤍 Saving a copy on your computer
🤍 Keeping a backup on an external hard drive
🤍 Uploading them to a cloud service like iCloud, Google Photos, Dropbox, or Amazon Photos

Your wedding photos are one of the few things that become more valuable with time. They deserve more than one place to live. They should also be preserved in print.

If you’d like an extra layer of protection, I also offer custom archival USB drives that are perfect for safekeeping or sharing with family. Just send me a message and I’d be happy to help.

One of my favorite parts of a wedding day is watching everyone else.

The bridesmaid trying not to cry.
A father squeezing his daughter's hand walking down the aisle.
Friends screaming the lyrics to their favorite song on the dance floor.

The little moments happening around the big ones.

Those fleeting seconds are often the ones that become the most meaningful memories.

They're easy to miss in real time.

Those are the images that transport you back.

The ones that let you remember not just what the day looked like—but what it felt like.

Today, many of the seniors I had the privilege of photographing this year are walking across a stage and turning the page to a brand new chapter. 🎓✨

It's been such an honor getting to document this season of your lives—the excitement, the anticipation, the dreams, and all the possibilities ahead.

From college plans and career goals to adventures still waiting to be discovered, each of you brought something uniquely your own to your session, and I loved getting to tell a small piece of your story.
